Visual Identity

Unmei is a small, family-run dumpling shop rooted in craftsmanship and tradition, where every dish is handmade with care.

The design focuses on expressing the authenticity of Taiwanese cuisine while capturing the warmth and charm of its culture. Rather than over-designing the space, the approach emphasizes simplicity, honesty, and a sense of intimacy—allowing the handmade nature of the food to remain at the forefront.

At the same time, subtle elements are introduced to reflect the playful and endearing side of Taiwanese culture. Soft forms, approachable details, and gentle visual cues bring a sense of lightness and “cuteness” to the space without compromising its authenticity.

The result is an environment that feels both genuine and inviting—where tradition meets personality, and where customers can connect with the spirit of Taiwanese home-style cooking in a warm, approachable setting.
